Transportation

The transportation in Liaocheng is very convenient, highways in the city lead to all directions. Jinan-Liaocheng Superhighwayand and Jinan-Qingdao Superhighway are connected in this city. It takes only 1 hour to get to Jinan Airport, and 4 hours to Qingdao harbor. The Beijing-Kowloon Railroad runs from north to south, while Handan-Jinan Railroad and Jinan-Liaocheng-Guantao Superhighway runs from east to west. The three traffic lines have formed a “Great Golden Cross”, which makes Liaocheng an important hub of communication in Shandong Province, and even in China.

Aviation

No airport for civil aviation is available in Liaocheng. Tourists can take plane from Jinan airport.

Railroads

Liacheng North Train Station is one of the four central stations along the Beijing -Kowloon Railroad, which connect Liaocheng with most of the main domestic city. Take Bus No. 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 11, 17, 23 or 27 in the downtown area to the train station directly.

Highways

Coach bus lines reach most of the main cities in Shandong Province. Take bus No. 9, 12, 17, 18, or 19 in the downtown area to the West Coach Bus Station directly.

Internal Transportation

Bus

There are both self service buses and ticket seller buses in Liaocheng. Both of them cost 1 yuan per person. Bus No. 1, 3 and 12 are the main sightseeing bus lines.

Taxi

The starting price for taxis is 5 yuan for 3 kilometers in Liaocheng. If the distance is more than 3 kilometers, it costs 1.1 yuan per kilometer.
