Introduction:

Qingfeng Mountain Range boasts of nine ravines and eighteen ranges which are fantastic, unique and rare to see in other places. Its Yulin Ravine Scenic Spot is endowed with continuous hills and grotesque rocks, presenting a natural and vivid picture as terrific as that of Zhangjiajie Scenic Area; Miaogou Scenic Spot is characterized by towering ancient trees, numerous caves and cascades. There are crystal springs among trees and rushing waterfalls hanging on cliffs, creating an exquisite, artistic conception like in Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. Grotesque rocks, precipitous peaks, clear springs, rushing waterfalls, mysterious caves and great trees constitute a number of perfect natural pictures.

Qingfeng Mountain Range features grotesque rocks and stones. For example, there is a rock vividly named as “Wukong Capturing the Monster of Lion”. Here, Wukong refers to Monkey King who is standing toweringly with pride and the monster of lion bows it head submissively. It reminds you of the fairyland described in Journey to the West. Qingfeng Mountain Range is rich in spring. For example, Sandie Colorful Springs are famous for the three springs which are piled up geographically and adding glamour to each other. They are mysterious with shining colors under sun and make you wonder whether you are in a fairyland. Qingfeng Mountain Range has abundant legends. For instance, the legends of Shenma (Immortal Horse) Spring and Caves of Immortals as well as the story of Wang Laozao (a brave Chinese citizen against Japanese invaders), etc. Qingfeng Mountain Range is endowed with rich spring water and ancient inscription on cliff which reads “Qingfeng Mountain Range and bright Moon Bridge”. Besides, there are many other scenic spots such as Tingyu Room (a room for appreciating rain drops), Pishan Cypress, Bajie (a pig-like character in Journey to the West) Fantastic Spot, Jinchanwangri (means a big rock with the shape of a toad looking at the sun in the sky), Dishui Kwan-yin, Feilaishi Rock (a rock as if it is flying in the air), Huguo (means protecting the country) Temple, and Ma Xian (means an immortal horse) Temple, etc.

Qingfeng Mountain Range is also reputed as zhongguodi for memorizing the strong patriotism of Chinese people for safeguarding the country. During the war against Japanese invaders, the whole region of Northeast China was reduced to be the colony of Japanese militarists except Qingfengling Mountain Range, where Wang Laozao an ordinary Chinese citizen refused to be submissive to Japanese invaders and organized his fellowmen to fight for independence with all their efforts.

Silengzi Mount, the main battlefield where Wang Laozao and his fellowmen fought against the Japanese invaders, is precipitous and towering. In order to avoid being caught by the Japanese invaders, they found and covered themselves in a cave. The cave lies in deep forest and hard to be found.

Tourists in Qingfeng Mountain Range can enjoy, to their heart content, the comfortable wind and clear spring water, appreciate the beauty of nature, visit places of historical interests, recall history and leave a good memory to themselves.
