A general introduction

The cave hides on the river bank of the Xiaohei River, 25 kilometers south of Dima County. After the narrow entrance, the cave suddenly turns out to be really spacious: the hall is over 20 meters high and 50 meters wide but the depth of the cave is still a secret. The unearthed in the cave shows that more than 3, 000 years ago the cave residents had already started making pottery, planting rice paddy and using bull plough. The pottery wares they made are exquisite in shape and elaborate in ornament, which represents the most advanced Neolithic civilization of southwest China.
