It is produced in the middle, south, or southwest of China. As an original production place, Zhejiang Province took the lead in artificially growing and utilizing Chinese Goosebeery 300 years ago. In 1990s, the production places cover 48 counties, among which the output of Qingyuan County, Longquan County, Jiangshan County and Zhuji County is more. Its taste is sweet; it is rich in kinds of vitamin and elements of mineral. It is also made into Can, jam and alcohol. Its root, alcohol, fruit and leaf can be made into medicines which are provided with the function including nvigorating the circulation of blood and desslpating blood stasis, diuresis, moistening the dry and so on.
