Taman Tasik Perdana (or Lake Gardens), located on Perdana Road, is the most popular garden in Kuala Lumpur. It fully shows the harmonious and elegant combination of human being and nature. It is regarded as an oasis in the city. The tropical garden covers an area of 91.6 acres and the design was centered on two lakes. Inside the garden, it is verdant and full of blossoms. There are also scenic spots such as sculpture gallery, creative theme parks and rainforests. Taking a stroll in the park is really pleasant. The attractions inside Taman Tasik Perdana include:

Orchid Garden: It is fascinating to watch the orchids under the pavilions or walk along the pedestrian street lined with orchids. Pluck a flower seedling as souvenir. There are more than 800 species of orchids planted inside the orchid garden, many of which are foreign species. Bouquets and some other plants are available for sale on weekends. Flower growers are there to instruct on the art and technique of planting.

Hibiscus Garden: Hibiscus is considered to be the queen of tropical flowers. More than 500 species of flowers blossom in the garden, including Rose Sinensis which is the national flower of Malaysia.

Deer Park: A group of spotted deer from Holland live freely inside this 2-acre park, There are also some mouse deer coming from Malaysia’s rainforests. Opening Time: from 9 am to 6 pm every day.
Admission: free.

Butterfly Park: Over 15,000 kinds of trees are planted here to mimic a tropical rainforest. There are more than 6000 butterflies, a butterfly larvae cultivation center and a breeding area.
