Braised Pork With Preserved Vegetables
It is a traditional famous dish of Hakka. Three-ply pork and preserved vegetables mix with soy sauce, white sugar, garlic, ginger. Put the mixture in a pot and simmer it for a period of time until it is cooked. This dish tastes delicious.
The feature of meat ball is having the pure taste of meat, crispy, tasty and refreshing. The ball of fish meat of Hakka is tender, smooth and has a different flavor not like the ball of fish meat in other coastal districts.

Baked Salty Chicken
The main ingredient is a local young chicken. Dry the killed chicken, and then smear a little cooking oil on it, next pack the whole chicken tightly and bury it into a parched pile of hot salt, and then heat it gently for half an hour. Pull the chicken to strips and then mix with sesame oil. Baked salty chicken is done. The skin of the chicken is crispy and the meat is flaky. It is a famous dish in Meizhou District.
Weigaoban is the most popular food of Hakka. It is a steamed food made of rice juicy. People usually eat it with sweet sauce. Fried weigaoban is also popular; tourists can buy it in the streets of Mei County. It is a traditional food with Hakka flavor.
In fact it is tofu with fillings. The fillings are made of squid, mushroom, shrimp meat and pork with some monosodium glutamate, salt and starch. The fillings are inserted into tofu. It is delicious and with nutrition no matter you steam or fry.
