Yangon Jewelry Exhibition Building

Myanmar abounds with gems and pearls of various varieties and good quality, mainly including jade, ruby, sapphire, spinel, olivine and amber. Yangon Jewelry Exhibition Building was completed and opened to public in 1992, composed of the northern building and the southern building. The jewelry auction hall and the VIP lounge are in the southern building where the trade fair of jewelry and the jade auction fair are held twice a year. The northern building is a four-storey building, on the top storey of which, there are exhibition halls of jewelry and mineral reserves. In the exhibition halls, there exhibit a number of various jewelry and jades, looking multicolored. Besides, the halls in other storey are mainly sale rooms of jewelry. Yangon Jewelry Exhibition Building is considered to be the ideal place for purchasing jades and jewelry.
