Neijiang Transport
Neijiang, also called the “hub in central Sichuan” and the “gateway to southern Sichuan”, is the hub of both land and water transport and an important material distributing center in Sichuan Province. Railways Chengdu-Chongqing, Longchang-Luzhou, and Neijiang-Kunming and highways Chengdu-Chongqing, Neijiang-Yibin, Longchang-Naxi (in Luzhou City, southeastern Sichuan) pass Neijiang. The building of other transport lines, such as Neijiang-Suining Railway, Neijiang-Suining Highway, Longchang-Huangtong (in Guizhou) and Longchang-Dafang (in Guizhou) make Neijiang more important in connecting Sichuan with Chongqing, Yunnan Province and Guizhou Province.
Railway transport
Neijiang also enjoys a convenient railway transport. Railways Chengdu - Chongqing , Neijiang- Kunming , Longchang-Luzhou and Zizhong-Weiyuan pass Neijiang. There are 19 railway stations in Neijiang Prefecture.
Tips
Located on the bank of Tuo River, Neijiang Railway Station is also situated at the joining point of Chengdu-Chongqing and Neijiang-Kunming Railways. Tourists can buy train tickets at the network of ticket offices in Shizhong District, Weiyuan County and Anyue County in Ziyang Prefecture, Sichuan .

Tourists can buy train tickets at the ticket office of the railway station. And they had better arrange their trips at least two days in advance during the Chinese Spring Festival and some other important holidays, such as the May First and October First holidays (Chinese take seven days off during these days, the transport systems may be very busy then).
Highway
Besides the above-mentioned highways, other highroads, such as Chengdu - Guangzhou , Sichuan - Hubei , Sichuan- Yunnan and Neijiang-Yibin also run past Neijiang.
Tips
it is 172 km from Chengdu to Neijiang and it takes about 2 hours to cover the distance by way of the highway. Regular buses from Chengdu Chengbei Passengers’ Transport Center start every 20 minutes for Neijiang. The price is about 50 yuan.
