Dear China Travel members, During November 12th-27th, 2010, the 16th Asian Games 2010 will take place in Guangzhou, a modern city in South China's Guangdong Province. This event will follow the impressive pattern set by the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Guangzhou Asian Games will draw the participation of 45 Asian nations in about 42 sports. Guangzhou is a beautiful, bustling port city that combines modern skyscrapers with rivers, canals and green parks in a way that is without parallel in China. Guangzhou thrives on its financial district, its real estate sector and its tourism. With its greenery, its many waterways and its mild climate, Guangzhou is a great place to stroll about and to just relax after shopping and dining to one's heart's content. Guangzhou will also be the host city for the 108th Canton Fair, which be held from October 15 to November 4.
