Brief introduction to the scenic spot:
It is 17 kilometers away from southwest Wuzhong City which is adjacent to the jaws of Bronze Gorge City. Bordering with Wuzhong to the east, Yellow River to the west and Qin Trench to the north, Dong Mansion is facing with Niushou Mountain and surrounded by flaming green trees all around. It is the distinctive environment that made it to be ranked as the important cultural relic protection unit in the municipality in 1988.
Dong Mansion is the most intact official mansion in Qing Dynasty at present. It was built by DongFu Xian g(1839—1908), the famous general in the year of GuangXu in Qing Dynasty, in 1902 which has a long history of 102 years. With its grandiose construction and brilliant local nationality culture, Dong Mansion is made up of four parts: main part, the wall of mansion and moat. However, only the inner stockade-village and main part which is as large as 11025 square meters still exist now. With its fort-like form, dainty pattern, precise layout and extractive craftwork, Dong Mansion is a typical Ming and Qing architecture style. The inner construction is featured by the carved girder and painted ridgepole, novel colored drawing, elegant pattern and majestic vigor.
