Cebu is located in one of the first cities that were open up in the Philippines. In the year 1521, the Portuguese navigator Magellan sailed from Spain to the mid South America. On his way, he discovered this island to his surprise. Now, among the over seven thousand islands, the beautiful and poetic Cebu has become the most popular tourist attraction in the Philippines. Cebu is located in the central part of the Visayas Islands. It has a population of 1.8 million. Consisting of 167 islands, Cebu is the second largest channel that connects the Philippines with the outside world. In Cebu, the ancient culture and the modern vitality are combined together harmoniously.

Cebu enjoys a pleasant climate. With clear water and smooth sands, Cebu is celebrated as “the Eden for Tourists”. To tourists who like sunshine and beaches, Cebu is a perfect place to visit. Along the beach, there are many holiday resorts and luxury first-class hotels. Equipments for catering, entertainment and shopping are all available there. To diving fans, Cebu is the ideal heaven. Everything there including the perfect diving equipments, professional diving courses and exciting water trips can make tourists enjoy themselves so much as to forget to leave. Mactan Island and Moalboal are both fantastic gardens that tourists should never miss.

Tourists who are keen on exploring the ancient relics can discover the signs of history easily nearly everywhere in this ancient city. Cebu, where the local government is located, is the city boasting the longest history in the Philippines. Cenbu is also known as the “Queen City of the South”. It is the political, economical, cultural and educational center of the Central Visayas. The world-known Magellan's Cross and the legendary Basilica Minore del Santo Nino are all located in this city.

Cebu is also an ideal tourist attraction for tourists who love tropical fruits. Cebu abounds with various tropical fruits, such as mango which is ranked as the best in Asia, coconuts, guavas and pineapples. With the fragrant smell of fruits, tourists can go to the Carbon Market to enjoy themselves.
