Rhubarb, Pingliang

Rhubarb is fit to live in the half-shadowy slope area with the altitude of 1700-2500 meters high. The cultivation and planting of Huating rhubarb started from Ming Dynasty and they treat the one with big block and fine color as the best. In 1960s, it had been exported to the Southeast Asia, Italy and other countries. Recently it manly sells to the coastal area. The rhubarb has the components of emodin, chrysophanol, rhein and aloe-emodin and it can clear heat, purge the body, improve the appetite, normalize the secretion and discharge of bile and can be used as antineoplastic function.
