The Lubuge Scenic Zone at the provincial level lies along the bank of the Yellow River at the southeastern part of Xinyi city. It has a common boundary with Luoping county of Yunnan province in the west and with Xilin county of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the south. The zone covers a distance of 76.8 kilometers from the northern part of Lubuge Power Station in the north and Sanjiangkou in the south.
