Mask is a peculiar handicraft widely used in folk among the Tibetan sculpt-crafts of facial mask. “Ba” in Tibetan language is mainly used in various folk performances including Tiaoshen mask, Xuangua mask which is mainly about portraits of all gods like hufa god, auspicious fairy and king matouming throughout Tibet, directly related to people’s daily life, work and leisure, and Tibetan opera mask. Whenever on formal festivals, every temple performs Tiaoshen ceremony, using the masks of hobgoblin, hufa god, goodness and animal totem, etc.
