Guomeri Buddhist Pagoda is situated in Guomeri Temple which is in Guomeri Village, Tongren County, one of the birthplaces of Regong art.( This is a village of Tu nationality.) The pagoda is opposite to Wutun Village. Now, it is the highest buddhist pagoda in Qinghai. Guomeri Temple was first built during the years of Wanli in Ming Dynasty. There are one sutra recitation hall, one Mile Hall, and one Hufa Hall. Guomeri Buddhist Pagoda is 30 meters high and covers about 1156 square meters. It is elaborately built by local skillful craftsmen. It is number one in Chinese Tibetan -inhabited areas for the uniqueness of its building style, the beauty of its moulding, the enormity of its cost, and the richness of its ethnic characteristics.
