It’s 29 kilometers from the Xining Airport to the town center. The fare of the regular bus of the civil aviation is 8 Yuan. The fare of taking a taxi is about 50 Yuan. There are scheduled flights to Beijing and Xi’an everyday. The flights to Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, Dunhuang, Ge’ermu, Guangzhou, Kunming, Lhasa, Shenzhen, Urumchi don’t depart every day. Therefore, people must consult before setting out. Xining has 2 trunk railways, 4 branch railways, and 59 special-purpose railways. These railways extend in all directions, centering on Xining. The total mileage of the railways is more than 1,300 kilometers. Xining is the junction of the Lanqing railway and the Qinghai-Tibet railway. People can take trains to get to all the places in China. There are trains which can get to Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Qingdao, Ge’ermu, Lhasa and other places directly. The Xining Railway Station is located on the Qilian Road. The highway transportation of Xining is the main force of passenger and cargo transportation in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. There are 5 national roads in Qinghai Province and four of them cross Xi'ning. There are many highways, such as, Qingzhuang Line, Qingxin Line, Qingchuan Line, etc.. The Xilan Highway, which is under construction, will shorten the distance between two provinces. There are a lot of passenger regular buses which go to the cities and counties inside the province or some cities outside the province. The number of everyday departure amounts to 1,044 on average.  They basically radiate to all parts of the whole province. Long-distance buses lead to main cities and counties inside and outside the province. The Xining Long-Distance Bus Station lies in the north end of Jianguo Road, about 600 meters to the south of the train station. Bus

There are tens of bus lines in Xining. The transportation is extremely convenient in the city. People can take Bus 33 to the Guangdong Giant Mosque directly.

Taxi

There are hundreds of taxies distributing all the places of Xining. The fare is listed as follow: The starting price of the microbus is 4 Yuan within 3 kilometers. The price increases by 1 Yuan a kilometer if the car runs beyond 3 kilometers. The starting price of Xiali is 6 Yuan within 3 kilometers and the price increases by 1.1 Yuan a kilometer if the car runs beyond 3 kilometers.
