Xining has 2 trunk railways, 4 branch railways, and 59 special-purpose railways. These railways extend in all directions, centering on Xining. The total mileage of the railways is more than 1,300 kilometers. Xining is the junction of the Lanqing railway and the Qinghai-Tibet railway. People can take trains to get to all the places in China. There are trains which can get to Beijing , Shanghai , Xi'an, Qingdao , Ge’ermu, Lhasa and other places directly. The Xining Railway Station is located on the Qilian Road.
