Anyone going to be in Shanghai in April?

I will be visiting Shanghai alone from April 7th to May 1st, I am visiting a friend there, but she will be working during my stay. It would be nice to meet up with other english speaking travelers or locals during her work times. If anyone is in the same boat as I, getting around may be easier.
