Backpacking in Guilin and Yangshuo

Hi, Four of us will be touring on our own in Guilin-Yangshuo from 1Jun to 12 Jun. I have a few questions. 1. Should i spend the 12 days just in Guilin -Yangshuo or could i venture further north. If so where and what options do i have. Am interested in beauitful landscape. 2. Is it terribly hot at that time of the year? Hot as in above 30 C? 3. Am interested in seeing the Impression Liu Sanjie show but would be staying at a hostel in Yangshuo town, so would i have problem getting back to the hostel at night?

- 1. Definitely include an overnight stay at the Longji Rice Terraces. Even if you stayed two nights you wouldn''t be bored. As for whether you venture further north, it really depends on how you want to travel. You could easily while away 12 days just in the Guilin region, but it seems a shame to go so far and only see a such a small area. 3. No, you''ll be buying tickets through your guesthouse or a travel agent and transport to and from the show is generally included in the price.
