- "Jiangnan" here means the region south of the lower reaches of the Yangze River. "Jiangnan scenery" has been formed because of the special natural environment and living style of the people there. And the most typical "Jiangnan scenery" is in Suzhou and Hangzhou where the houses are linked together with high walls and various sculptured ornaments in light color are used. The unique winding path there is quite narrow and takes us to the mysterious residence of "Jiangnan".
