Are there many languages in China? I found that sometimes I can't understand what people are talking about, even I can speak some Pu Tong Hua.

- "Chinese" is the general name of all the languages and dialects in China. Pu Tong Hua (manderin) is only the stardard language in the country, there are also many other languages and dialects, for example, there are Uighur in Xinjiang, Tibetan in Tibet, Cantonese and Hakka in Guangdong Province.
