- Hello, HKBC, there are direct flight, train and bus from Lanzhou to Dunhuang. Long-distance bus is available at Lanzhou Long-distance Bus Station everyday, which costs about RMB 100. The journey is about 20 hours. You also can take the direct train from Lanzhou to Dunhuang; Train N857. The train starts at 17:58pm and get to Dunhung at 7:56am the next day. And the soft sleeper costs about RMB230. I think that reaching Dunhuang from Lanzhou by air is the best way. The journey is about one hour and costs RMB 700. Wish you a good trip!
