Will everything be closed over Chinese New Year?

Hello to all you wonderful people,can you please help? I will be in China during the coming Chinese Spring Festival maybe Beijing and Shanghai. Are all the shops, restaurants, tourist spots, shopping malls etc will be closed? thanks

- Adam, the answer to your question is "no". Most of the shops, restaurants, tourist attractions , shopping malls will be open. However, some restaurants may have limited working hours over the holiday.
