Is it safe to go to Guangzhou by myself? I'm a girl and want to pay a visit to Guangzhou. Someone told me that Guangzhou is not a secured city. Is that true?

- You'd better travel there in company. Guangzhou is not so safe as the rest of China.

- It depends on yourself. If you are a very frequent traveller, you will be able to adapt but I suggest you to read more about Guangzhou and China before your decisions.

- Well, I've been there, and I'm still alive.. If you are in Guangzhou, you should try every means to protect yourself from being hurt.. Don't try to deny a city for its security problem..

- Guangzhou is notorious throughout the country for its horrible situation of social security. Street robbery happens regularly. I do not think it safe to travel alone in Guangzhou, especially for a girl.
