How far is the Lhasa airport away from downtown? and how do you get to the downtown area. by taxi? bus?

Lhasa airport is about 70 kilometers away from downtown Lhasa. You can either take a taxi or airport bus to get to the town. Price: bus: 25 yuan, taxi: about 150 yuan. Some taxi drivers may ask for a inflated price, so negotiation is needed. You need to set out 3 hours or so prior to the deparutre of your flight in case of any traffic blockage on the way. Traffic accidents happen regularly due to maybe poor road condition or bad weather. Speed is limited to at a maximum of 70 km/per hour.
