ATM's for Fudan University Foreign Students Dormitory

I am from the Philippines and am due to study in Fudan University in less than 2 months. I would be staying in their Foreign Students Dormitory. I was wondering if HSBC or BOC accounts in my country would be connected to the ATM's in Shanghai. If not, which bank account would make it more convenient for me to access ATM's in the university campus/dormitory? Furthermore, would it be cheaper to wire transfer my allowance from HSBC Phils. to HSBC China rather than other banks to banks in China?

- Chinese ATMs accept Visa card and Master card. You can use your Philippines card in China. But better in Bank of China (BOC)'s ATMs and HSBC ATM. The more economical way is to open an account in Bank of China in your country and then give your allowance via bank transfer to your BOC card in China.
