Longyou Rock Cave

Longyou Rock Cave is one hour driving to Qiandaohu, while half an hour to Daciyan Cave, the Eight-Diagram Village of Zhuge family, and Lingqidong Cave.

Longyou Rock Cave is one of the manmade underground buildings in ancient times, which is of highest level. It is also one of the underground miracles when people started to develop the space of underground in the world. Longyou Rock Cave is concentrated on Chinese people’s essence, with humanism, art, culture, and engineering. Therefore, local people call Longyou Rock Cave as “the ninth world miracle”.

Longyou Rock Cave is a mysterious building under the ground. 24 caves scatter over the hillock with the area of 0.38 square meters regularly. Each of the caves has the area of 1000 square meters to 3000 square meters. And each of them extends down vertically from their rectangle cave mouth, with the height of 30 meters or so. The tops look like tundishes.

There are three or four fishtail telae in each cave. More amazingly, chiseled marks were left on the walls, tops and telae evenly, which show the meaning of decorating.
