Black ceramic, Rizhao

With the reputation of “the soul of Chinese art”, ceramic is the symbol of Chinese ancient civilization. The manufacture of black ceramic started more than 4,000 years ago. The workmanship is exquisite, and the ceramic culture is well-established. The Dragon Mountain cultural ware “the high handle hollow egg ceramic cup” unearthed in East Sea Valley is a valuable relic, without glaze but pitch-black and shining. The embryo is thin and hard in quality. The thickest part is no more than 1mm, and the thinnest part is only 0.2mm.
