Yingchi Apricot is produced in YIngchi County. As the apricot looks like an egg, it is also called Egg Apricot. It is also called Yangshao Apricot because it is produced where the famous Yangshao Culture site is.
　　
Both the fresh and the dried fruits are popular local specialties. In June, 1985, there was a contest of all the apricots in Henan Province, Yingchi Apricot got 91.94, and ranked No.1.
