No visit to China will be complete without a few days' stay in Xian. As one of China's seven ancient capitals, it served as capital for 12 ancient dynasties over 1,000 years. thus Xian is blessed with numerous precious cultural relics and historical sites. Except the world-wowed Terracotta Army of the First Emperor, there are countless other sights scattering the city. Xian also provides access to some gorgeous historical traces around the region such as the Qianling Mausoleum and Maoling Mausoleum in Xianyang, Famen Temple and Yan Emperor's Mausoleum in Baoji. In a word, Xian and the surrounding regions are windows to China's ancient civilization.
