Another Valley Steamed Bun developed in 1890. Dating back to that time, the steamed bon was made in a small restaurant in a valley named Beneficial Valley. The owner of the restaurant is named Gu. The steamed bon he made won a widely fame for its undefiled, elegant, tasty features. After Gu, Jiang Yushan, Wang Feng Xian g, Ren Wanxiang, Li Jinshu and others refined the workmanship of steamed bon and learned the advanced technique of bon-making from Goubuli stuffed bun in Tianjin City for several times since 1931, and mastered the method of making the authentic Goubuli stuffed bun. Thereafter, it attracted more and more guests and won a wide fame. The former county magistrate Tang Yefeng of Qing Dynasty renamed ‘Beneficial Valley’ to ‘Another Valley Steamed Bon’ under one famous ancient verse ‘through the shadows of willows and brightness of flowers, another valley was in sight at last’ ( in Chinese, another valley sounds the same with beneficial valley). Another Valley Steamed Bon improved constantly its craftsmanship to make well shaped, carefully selected, mouthful tasty steamed bon on the fine technique base of Goubuli stuffed bun.
