Lu Opera, also called Shandong opera, covers a history of over 100 years. It mainly includes a series of movies, series and operas, which take Shandong as their background and main theme. Lu Opera was developed from the popular folk songs that used to pass on by word of mouth around its region and it focuses more on the story and characters' emotion.

Lu opera pay more attention to content and main theme. Keeping on pace with the modern era, it has made great efforts in improvement and has now got a series of achievements on performance, dance, art, music and etc. The series Chuang Guandong is an outstanding example, standing for a higher level and greater achievements of Lu Opera.
