Laiwu Tin Carving has a long history and various species and is featured with beautiful sculpture and extractive accomplishment and unique style. During the period of Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty, Tin making industry in Laiwu reached its peak. In 1780, Wang Family, an old and well-known family engaged in tin making in west pass of Laiwu City, integrated all kinds of arts and created the first tin carving craftworks—a set of tea and wine devices. Sin then, after the efforts made by generations of people, the arts and crafts of tin carving was improved continuously and unique arts and extractive design are formed and basso-relievo art and besetting skills are applied creatively. It was ever honored with internatio0nal sliver prize on Panama World Expo in 1915. The Three-layer Dragon Decorated Ancient Censer, the representative work of Wang’s Tin Carving, is featured with refined carving and the nine dragons are lively in image. Some of them are flying in the cloud and some are playing with the ball. Apart from this, there are also celestial crane candle dais, dishware, bottles, boxes and so on. All these works are refined in carving and are treated as precious works. They are sold as far as Japan and countries in South East Asia. The price of Laiwu tin carving varies from several hundred yuan to ten thousand yuan.
