Aviation

Currently, there is no airport in Tai’an; people should go to Jinan Yaoqiang Airport to take a plane. The airport is 90 kilometers away from the downtown area of Tai’an. A 60-minute bus will take you there. There is no direct coach from Tai’an to Yaoqiang Airport, visitors who want to go to the airport to take a plane from Tai’an or travel around Mount Tai from the airport should change buses in Jinan.

1.     If you are tired of taking a bus to the airport, you can rent a car or a bus. The price for renting a car in Tai’an is relatively cheap. Taking an ordinary saloon car to the airport just cost 200 yuan. The chartered car for a whole day will cost less than 300 yuan. The fare for the highway is added, if exceed certain kilometers. If you are not in a hurry to take a plane, we suggest you to buy the ticket in the afternoon or at night as possible as you can. In particular, you will enjoy more discounts buying the ticket at night.

Railway

The number of the train goes from Mount Tai station in Beijing-Shanghai Railway is 86. Besides, there is one double-quick train from Qingdao to Mount Tai every day.

Currently, there are two highway stations in Tai’an, namely, the new station and the old station.

Bus

Main tourist line buses:

NO.1 Line of Mount Tai Tourist Line: The railway station-Tianwai Village-Zhongshan Men, the price for climbing up the mountain is 13 Yuan and the price for going downhill is 11 Yuan.

NO.2 Line of Mount Tai Tourist Line: The railway station-Taoyuan Yu-Taohuayuan ropeway, the price for climbing up the mountain is 13 Yuan and the price for going downhill is 11 Yuan.

Taxi

The starting price of the taxi in Tai’an is six Yuan for two kilometers. After exceeding two kilometers, it costs 1.5 yuan per kilometer. After ten o’clock at night, the price will become a little high, but you can have a bargain. The price for taking a taxi from the railway station or the old coach station to the west road for climbing of Tianwai Village is eight yuan, ten yuan to the east road for climbing of Hongmen. If you start from the west exit of the highway to the railway station is 15 yuan and 20 yuan to Tianwai Village or Hongmen.

Other tips for Transportation:

You’d better not take a tricycle or motorbike. It is safer to take a tricycle in the daytime, however, the main street forbid motorbikes to carry passengers.
