Brief  Introduction:

As a beautiful coastal city with a coastal line of about 985.9 kilometers, Weihai boasts of attractive scenic spots, various bays and islands, clean and hygienic environment as well as pleasant climate. Weihai is a favorable place for holidays and sightseeing. Its attractive environment and natural landscapes have won Weihai the reputation of a national-level Garden City, and one of the first national Model Cities for Environmental Protection. As a civilized tourist city, Weihai has also won such international accolade as “the Best Model of International Residential Environment Improvement”. In Weihai, you can find all kinds of tourist attractions such as attractive city views, seashore landscapes, gorgeous sand beach and submerged reefs, distinctive local folk customs and practices, underground thermal springs, cultural relics, well-known mountains and ancient temples, grotesque rocks and mysterious rivers.

Weihai covers an area of 5,436 square kilometers with a population of 2.44 million, of which 0.462 million live in the city proper. The city proper has an area of 732 square kilometers with the greatest east-west distance extending 135 kilometers and the greatest north-south distance striding over 81 kilometers. Weihai enjoys the jurisdiction over three county-level cities and one district.
