Yantai airport is located in Laishan Town of northeast Yantai City, 15 kilometers away from downtown area and 1.5 kilometers away from Yanqing first-class highway. Besides providing direct flights to over 30 cities at home, it also has periodic international flights to Seoul and Daego in South Korea.

There is a Road traffic network in Yantai which is formed by highway from Weifang to Yantai, highway from Yantai to Ji’nan, 204, 206 and 309 National Highway as well as numerous provincial roads. Waterway

There are three water carriage companies providing ship to Dalian. They are the General Passenger Traffic Company of Yantai Port, Shandong Bohai Ferry Limited Company and Yantai Salvage Bureau Passenger Station. Of which the General Passenger Traffic Company of Yantai Port provides also the buses to Tianjin New Port and Fushan, Qunshan and Renchuan cities in Korean, the Shandong Bohai Ferry Limited Company provide ships to Weihai city nearby.

The main models of taxi in Yantai City are Santana, Fukang, Xia-li, etc, taking charges according to the grades of the taxi as follow:

Starting price: 5 yuan for the standard and common taxi per 3 kilometers, 12 yuan for the luxurious taxi; 2 yuan per kilometer beyond the first 6 kilometers;

Bus:

There are over 60 bus routes in Yantai City, the types includes omnibus, medium bus and air-conditioned bus.

Charging standard:
Omnibus: One yuan within 11 kilometers and add half yuan beyond per 5 kilometers;
