The Urban Planning Exhibition Hall of Shanghai（上海城市规划展示馆）was constructed at the beginning of 2000, and was open to the public on February 25th, 2000. As an important window for publicizing Shanghai, the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall shows the achievements of urban planning, construction and development of Shanghai with the theme of city, human, environment and development. After seven years of endeavor, the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall of Shanghai has become an AAAA-level tourist spot, a base for science education, patriotic education base, environmental education base and professional trainee base. Since its opening to the public, the exhibition hall has accepted over 2,300,000 tourists from home and abroad, including party and state leaders from various countries. Urban Planning Exhibition Hall has held a number of topflight exhibitions, including F1 knowledge exhibition, Dali exhibition of paintings and solo exhibition of Picasso.
