Shelter, Shanghai

Shelter is an old bomb shelter that has been dressed up and turned into a night club. So as you can imagine it is nothing to recommend for the claustrophobic. Through a narrow passage you enter an equally narrow room which contains the bar and the dance floor. Being one of the main underground scenes for house and techno in Shanghai, Shelter has attracted a loyal crowd and the club is usually boiling with people either dancing or intoxicating themselves with cheap drinks in the bar. Shelter gerenally has a smoky an intense atmosphere, and is a good option for some late night clubbing.
