For the beer connoisseur The Bund Brewery is the place to go. This is the only bar in Shanghai which serves its own brand of beer, The Bundlander, which comes in dark, lager or wheat. I also offers a decent menu with steaks and burgers. The bar consists of a large room and in the back, behind tainted windows, you can view the brewing in progress, all done with specially imported equipment. This is one of the more laid back places on the Bund, and it is a good place to visit for a cold beer during hot summer afternoons or after clubbing on the Bund.

Have been there many times & found it OK. The food now is utter crap & I think the beer is bought in Dont waste your money - much better places
we went there for a buffet style all-you-can-eat and were really dissapointed with the quality of the food and the service.
I strongly disagree with the article above. I am a beer connoisseur, and I know that in Shanghai there is Paulaner, Shanghai Brewery and Boxing Cat that produce much better beer than Bund Brewery. Bund Brewery is my least favourite. It is a place for tourists who do not care how beer tastes like. Don't get me started about the less than mediocre food.One thing I'll agree with the review above is that Bund Brewery is indeed one of the more laid back places NEAR the Bund, it does not overlook the Bund.
