Sun Island lies 35 miles in the west of Shanghai and covers 160 hectares in area, 3800 meters in length and the 700 meters in width. Surrounded by waters, the island is connected to the shore by a single bridge. In the ancient time Sun Island was also called Mao Island. Human residence can be traced back to the Western Zhou Dynasty. Now the Sun Island is famous for its beautiful landscapes and an international golf club with an 18-hole, par 72 golf course with water hazards and sand traps.

On the island there are an international conference center, a holiday village, a sports center, a bowling house and a wave machine pool. Recreational programs on the island include horse back riding, natural hot spring spa, karts circuits, luxury yacht cruise. Besides the recreations, the club also offers delicious food for the visitors. You can relax both your body and your soul there. The picturesque view, various entertainments and delicious food are great attractions to visitors who just tend to linger on.
