The Xianheng Restaurant is famous for its Suzhou and Hangzhou Dishes. The restaurant was set up in Qing Dynasty, during the time of Emperor Guangxu’s reign. The name of the restaurant comes from a short story by famous Chinese writer Lu Xun. The original source of "Xianheng" is Yijing, The Book of Changes. "Xianheng" means "everything in the world is thriving". The specialties of Xianheng Restaurant are Stewed pork with dried vegetables, and salty peanuts.
