Tourists in Shaoguan should never miss a taste of Fried River Snails. Shaoguan is mountainous area with a lot of rivers and brooks, which provide good conditions for river snails. River Snail is as little as finger tail with a shape of cone. River snails are available all through the year in the markets of various counties in Shaoguan. Autumn is the best season when river snails are most fresh to eat.
