East Beijing Chestnut, Shijiazhuang
With a history of about 2000 years of growing, East Beijing chestnut is big and sweet. Written documents of West Han Dynasty (206 B.C.－24 A.D) recorded the chestnut and gave evaluations for it. Different dishes can be prepared with chestnut, such as roasted chestnuts, stewed chicken with chestnuts, chestnut soup.
