Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is the forth largest airport in China. There are more than 60 scheduled Flights to the major cities in China, including Beijing , Shanghai , Guangzhou , Qingdao , Nanjing , Hangzhou , Zhangjiajie (in Hunan Province), Xi’an, Lanzhou , Urumchi, Lhasa , Chamdo, Xiamen , Guilin , Kunming , Haikou and so forth. The international and interregional flights include those to Hongkong and Bangkok. There are also flights to Dazhou and Xichang cities in Sichuan Province.

Shuangliu International Airport is 20 km from the city center. Every 15 minutes, a shuttle bus leaves from the front of the Civil Aviation Building (at the Southern Renmin Road) for the airport. It takes 35 minutes and 8 to 10 Yuan. The bus does not stop on the way. Tourists who go to the Western bus station or railway station could ask to get off at Tiaoshanta station and then take No. 34 bus to get to the Western Bus Station or to the Northern Railway Station. Those who go to the Xinnanmen Bus Station can get off at Minshan Hotel and walk along the Minjiang Road to the bus station.

Flights between Lhasa and Chengdu

Flights between Lhasa and Chengdu operate every day. The flights with the number of TV9804 operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday each week, departing from Lhasa Gonggar Airport at 17:00 and arriving at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport at 18:50, and departing from Chengdu at 19:10 and arriving in Lhasa at 21:10.

Also, the flights with the flight number of TV9808 operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday every week, departing from Lhasa Gonggar Airport at 14:30 and arriving at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport at 16:20; and departing from Chengdu at 18:50 and arriving in Lhasa at 20:50.
