Daocheng is a county subordinated to the Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province in Southwest China. Covering an area of 7,323 square kilometers (2.8 square miles), Daocheng County has been famous for its special topographical features: rolling hills and deep canyons, high mountains covered with snow, surreptitious rivers under the valleys, broad pastures and loquacious brooks. Daocheng lies on the southeast of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the east of Hengduan Mountains, at the conjunction areas of Sichuan, Yunnan and Tibet.
