Located on Panlong Mountain in central district of the city, Guangyuan airport is 14 kilometers away from downtown area. The airport may allow B737, TU-154, empty guest plane A320 with 300 seats and planes below that scale to take off from or land on. There are fights to Jiuzhai Valley, Guangzhou and Beijing.

Guangyuan has a well-developed transportation network. It has lines leading to Chengdu, Mianyang, Deyang, Jiangyou and adjacent cities within province. National highways 108, 212 and Cheng-guang highway join together here. Passenger trains from Chengdu to Guangyuan can be usually found in Chaojue temple station. The number of runs is 16 every day
