Limed Egg , Nanchong

Nanchong’s Limed Egg is the top one among limed eggs. It is made by the traditional natural materials with many amino acids, but without lead or any deleterious material. When taking a limed egg, it is easy to put the shell off. Then you will find clear shapes of pine flowers inside the transparent and springy egg white, and the unctuous yolk with slight sugar.

Recently, there is a new kind of limed egg with shapes of pine flowers of various colors inside the egg white, such as: red, orange, yellow, green and blue and so on. It is named the multicolored limed egg, which has been a new addition in the large banquets and the menu of technical cooking.  In 1982, Nanchong’s Limed Egg won the 2^nd place in a quality contest for exported food in Luojiang, which was held by Foreign Trade Department. And it won the 1^st place in Sichuan food quality contest. When Nanchong’s limed egg came into the market of Beijing in 1984, it was entitled with “the best limed egg of Jialing”. Today, it has come into the market of many major cities in China, even in the north and south Asia.
