Confucian Temple is built to sacrifice Confucius who is a great thinker, educator, statesman and initiator of Confucianism in Chinese History . It faces south with an area of more than 10 mu (Chinese unit of area), surrounded by red walls. The main buildings face south, with the attached buildings of three-tier courtyards symmetrically in line. The main building are all covered with yellow tiles and red pillars, overlapping ridges and interlocking eaves, in a delicate southern ancient building style, which make the Temple extremely grand and magnificent. There are 17 wise men’s statues in Dacheng Hall, and 125 more virtuous men’s statues oblated in Ming Dynasty. In Jinyi pavilion, there is a Confucius stele drawn by Wu Daozi in Tang Dynasty, and engraved in 1145 AD. The Confucian Temple is also well-known for once inculcate many scholars Confucianism. The Wild Goose Tower at the back of courtyard was superscribed by more than 200 scholars, which won it the name of “The Land of Bel-esprit”. The temple has a fine exhibition of calligraphy and stone sculpture. Especially the one in Chongsheng Ancestral Hall, there is a vivid “Nude Boy” which is very rarely seen.

In the June of 1980, Fushun Confucian Temple was listed as the Cultural Relic Reservation Unit by Sichuan People’s government, then in 2001 it was listed as the National Key Cultural Relic Reservation Unit.
