Jokul Series

Introduction to the scenic spot:

The Jokul Series are including many mountains where temperate zone trees, frigid -zone trees and others live. They are one of the highest areas in Taiwan . The altitude of its highest peak is 3,886 meters and it is the second highest mount in Taiwan. In the north of the Snow-Capped Mount there is a huge “ice cup” whose length is 1,000 meters and width is 600 meters. In winter the Cup is filled with snow. Seen from a far place it is a pageant. In the western ridge of the Snow-Capped Mount there is a lake named by Dark Green Lake. It is from glacier movement. The altitude of its bottom is 3,520 meters. It is the highest pool in Southeast Asia. Around the area Taiwan firs are prosperous. Partly it is the headquarters for the tree in Taiwan. There are lots of round cypresses from the Dark Green Lake to inside of the Jokul Series. An Forest Amusement Park has been established here. It is popular among tourists.
