Taipei Lantern Festival is held in Taiwan Democracy Memorial Hall every year and lasts for several days, reaching a climax during the Lantern Festival. During the festival, there are a great variety of activities, such as the display of various lanterns and the riddle-guessing contest. Besides, the most remarkable activity is the large-scale theme lantern festival held in the center of the square. And there are all kinds of traditional lanterns with different styles and the exhibitions of floats around Taiwan Democracy Memorial Hall. Kaohsiung Lantern Festival is held by the Ai River. And there are exhibition of lanterns on Wufu Road, Heping Road, Guangzhou Street and other famous streets. The extraordinarily exciting air of the festival attracts numerous visitors every year.
